Black Chrome Emblems DIY?

I hate chrome so I've had my grill and fog bezels professionally painted to match my car.

The sides of my grill emblem were also painted. I chose not to paint the front of the grill emblem and my trunk fuji for the sake of contrast. That being said I still hate chrome and I've had my exhaust tips powder coated (yes they were stainless I know).

I've been considering ways to get a black chrome look to my remaining emblems and what I could google are Duplicolor Metalcast and Shadow products.
Metalcast Anodized Automotive Paint - Aerosol | Dupli-Color
Shadow Chrome Black-Out Coating - Aerosol Kit | Dupli-Color

Shadow example

Does anyone have any experience with these and could offer advice as to which would be better in person? Alternatively any rattle can rockstar wants to do this for me I'd mail you my emblems and pay you.

The plastic chrome is kind of hard to get paint to stick to I use a red scotch brite pad to scuff the chrome plating really good until all of the chrome is not shiny anymore then use an adhesion promoter like bulldog then primer and paint I have never had any problems after I have done this
