Q50 Seats/other interior pieces on G37?

Does anyone know or have any experience with putting Q50 sport seats and the Q50 front door panels into a G37 sedan? I like how they look and feel MUCH better than the G37 seats/panels and think it would help "update" the G's interior.

Any thoughts appreciated

I think it'd be more work/money than it's worth. I would just get a q50.

The door panels will never happen and the seats would be an expensive endeavor for negligible gains.

I have an opportunity to trade the seats in to someone who needs them, that's why I was asking. The front door panels were more of a pipe dream because I love the extra leather

The seats are possible. The first thing to look at are the mounting points. If they are the same, that is a good start. If they are not, you will need to have custom brackets made, which will be time consuming and cost a few hundred dollars. The next factor is will they be too wide and bump into either the door or the center console. Measure the width of each seat to make this determination. The final hurdle is wiring. Look underneath the seats and note what the wire harnesses look like. If they are identical, you are likely to have a plug and play transition. When I installed the sport seats into my non sport seat equipped car, it was plug and play. It is more likely to be plug and play if the seats have the same options, for example memory, heated, etc. If they are not the same harness, it is not a dealbreaker, but you will need to cut the harnesses open and custom wire them to be fully functional. The project can range from an hour plug and play job, all the way up to a fully custom setup if wiring and mounting isn't identical. I'd recommend getting the donor seats in the same palce as your car and doing these checks. If you unbolt the seat, which is only 4 bolts, and tip the seat back to examine the wiring underneath. This will give you a pretty clear idea of what the project will require. Good luck!

I really want to do this as well. I figure I will wait a couple years for when wrecks are easier to find and try to get the seats cheap.

Don't forget safety. The seats have side curtain airbags in them don't they? They need a certain amount of clearance to fire correctly.
