Leather Question

As many of you know, i have yet to purchase my G (though soon I hope) and had a general question, especially for people who have had the G since last August and even to G35 sedan drivers who have the new model.

From what I gather, the leather seems to wrinkle and show "age" rather quickly in this car. Is this true? What are your thought on the leather seats in this car? (Speaking strictly from the leather view, not comfort, etc.) Thanks.

crappy leather, imo. It definitely shows wrinkles much more quickly than any car I've owned.

The leather in the G37 is far superior than the < '07 G35's, don't think it's something that should hold you back from getting the car. Sport seats are pretty comfy, a little stiff but appropriate for the car/ride.

wow.. if it's far superior than the g35, I can't imagine how bad it was.

I hate how it shows the indent from your wallet if you have it in your back pocket. I have now been taking my out and putting it in the cup holder. It shows the indent a little (the leather looks loser there) so hopefully it will go away with some leather conditioner.

Thanks for the input everyone. It defenitely won't hold me back from buying it, its just I am the type of person who believes or likes to believe, that putting enough care into something should keep it relatively new. For instance, my 02 Toyota Highlander, now a bit past 5 years old, looks absolutely brand new on the inside and this car has seen everything from little kids to hauling cargo, etc. and the leather still looks brand new after I cleaned and conditioned it a couple months back. Its just disappointing knowing that no matter how much care I will put into the G once I get it, the leather will age and wrinkle quickly.

I've only had mine for 2 months and it's already showing a few wrinkles as well. But they leather does comea bit dry from the factory. I don't think the dealer conditions them. If you're worried about the leather, just get some high quality conditoner (conditioner only)and treat the leather. It should bring it back to life. Even after 2 months my dash started to look a bit faded so I just put some conditioner and protectant on it and it looked better than the day I took it home.
