Sub enclosure for 10" under/on rear shelf

Has anyone designed and built an enclosure for the underside of the rear shelf of a sedan for a 10-12" sub? I do not want to sacrifice the room for my precious golf clubs and would like the factory space back.

Thanks! I've seen that, do not want free air. Wanting a hertz or similar sub. May have to get recommendations on a good one that is similar sounding.

You can run a shallow mount sub but it would still need around 4- 5" of depth including the enclosure itself.

I would use birch or some other type of light wood.

You can't use a light wood for the enclosure. The thing will flex and resonate very badly. Either internally braced 3/4" MDF or better yet 13 ply Baltic birch. Subs put out a lot of energy. So unless that enclosure is flex free, you'll lose some of that energy.
