Seat-belt retractors TSB

I just got my vert back from the dealer. The fix for this problem really does work. I was skeptical at first that it would be some kind of McGyver trick but the new retractors actually do what they're suppose to. Caught it just in time before any dents/scratches

can you post the TSB number? I just had mine at the dealer and the guy said he couldn't find any seatbelt tsb on his search. If I can print it out and bring it with me that would be helpful...

Can you send me a service invoice for your seatbelt fix? I got couple of dings in my door panel and a rip in rear seat panel too. My dealer syas they are ordering me a new panel and seatbelt for driver side but wont order me a new seat back panel. And they say they wont put in new retractor for my passenger side either. Any help will be appreciated. Thx.

Took mine in for this service this morning. Thank you for posting this, I just copy/pasted this TSB and emailed it to my dealer and told him I need this fixed. Easy as pie.

Warranty Repair

I've had my 2010 for about 2 months. I saw the TSB here, and contacted Infiniti of Chantilly. Since the car is under warranty, they did the belt repairs AND replaced both door panels, which were dented and punctured where the belts had been caught between the sills and the door - no problems at all. Now the door panels are perfect, and the belts retract fully.

I just got my convertible last week used at 52k miles on it.. already out of warrenty as I was told by the dealership. I wonder if this was already replaced by the previous owner? How do I find out? And if not, can I still have it replaced? My inside door handle is all scratched up.. wonder if that has anything to do with this...
Thanks for your help, I'm a noob ;P

They won't replace the interior door pull handles. I tried and it's not in the tsb for replacement sadly.

Mine took a week - most dealers don't stock all the possible door panels. Mine have the wood trim, and, after assessing the damage, the dealer ordered the parts, which came in damaged and had to be reordered.

I know this is an old tread but I searched seat belt retractor before posting and saw this TSB. Of course my 2009 G37S convertible with 43,000 miles is out of warranty. Is this something the dealership would repair without charge if I bring in this notice?

Thanks for the pertinent info, that was very helpful. Looks like I have some warranty left after all! I am thinking about going ahead with the Infiniti extended warranty...lots of money but that neat contraption in my truck worries me a little.
