Go to this Nissan website. They will charge you $149 and give you a code. Take it to an Infiniti dealer who will install the upgrade on your hard disk and charge you another $100-150 more.

I thought it was day light robbery, I complained to Infiniti, $250 for a software upgrade, and you can buy a Garmin for around 100 bucks.

Yes it's expensive. But it is what it is. I'm not aware of any alternative so if you care to update it, that's what it's going to cost.

Cool

Really, you guys complain that updates like this don't cost what they would on an Elantra - did you forget that you bought a highline car? They cost more. Parts cost more. You don't seem to howl when you willingly pay $1500 for an exhaust that would cost $750 for a Dodge Challenger. If spending more on an update than what a cheap Garmin costs is so distasteful, why not buy a Kia Optima next time.

My Infiniti dealer (Crossroads in Raleigh) quoted me at $60 for installation. So $210 is better than $300, still pretty ridiculous though. It's too bad we don't have SatNav that updates every time it's connected.

for 200+ it is ridiculous for just an updated map. If the older models got the weather and restaurant stuff then it would be worth it. I know where im going most of the time so its not a big deal for me. ill eventually get it done just not yet.

Does this only update the navigation system? Or the whole Interface of the In-dash monitor, if that makes sense?

If you are finding many errors in the area you use the gps/navigation then the upgrade is probably worth it. If you want the update just for the sake of having updated POI's, then invest in a smartphone instead

Is there any way to update the entire interface and layout? I believe the 2010+ models have more settings for iPod features and such?
