2009 g37x rough ride
Hi, I have had a 2009 g37x for number for months, and I got say the ride is not smooth ... couple of issues...
1. roads are never going to be all the same ..rough, smooth...etc ...but I feel like I am sitting in cheap car when going over any type of minor road bumps, or road cracks ... i don't know if it is the tires, or the suspension ...but i don't like it. My old Acura TL had a better ride.
2. I know this car is not the quietest car, but on the highway .... so much noise inside the cabin ....
Anybody else hear/see these kind of issues?
Thanks

The suspension is definitely more firm than in other cars. You can feel the road more, including cracks, bumps, surface imperfections. Some like that, some hate it. At this point, your best bet may be to carefully consider your tire selection and pick what has the best ride comfort and noise. Also, Infiniti seem to have more creaks and other noise in the cabin than others--that could give the impression of a cheap ride too.
I do hear wind noise, but then again I usually play the tunes moderately loud so I'm not used to it. If you feel like it's coming from a certain area, that could be an anomaly.

1] I'd say this is the difference between an entry level luxury sean and a performance sedan.
2] The car does not seem loud to me. I have no problem talking on the hands free when driving on the highway at 70 or so, even with the W*Drive winter tires I have.

I guess it depends on what you compare it to. I previously had a 06 Acura TSX, and it had a much rougher ride than my 09 G37x. I heard it said of the TSX: if you run over a dime, you can tell whether it's heads or tails. Sportier cars haver harsher rides, and the TL is not a sporty car (yes, I have driven several).
As for the road noise, my wife's Subaru Legacy GT howls like a banshee, so the G seems quiet in comparison.

I feel the front seats are totally fine but I got a couple complains from the rear seats people for rough rides. But they love my car so much that they blamed on my driving habit instead.
