Anyone try "polysteel" paint sealant?

Just picked up a black G37 and I’m considering the paint protection. Has anyone tried it?? It's $1000 at the dealer. I'm definitely getting the clear bra installed.
Thanks.

If you do a search on paint sealants it's pretty clear that these are no more than wax or polish jobs. Many will claim to use "teflon" protectant but there's no such thing. Teflon requires extremely high temperature to bond, yet dealers will claim that their product does just that. Also these products claim to last for years, but based on my research that's not the case and it needs to be reapplied at least yearly if not more often. And at $1000 or even $500 it's a complete rip off and pure profit for the dealer.

You're much better off spending the money on a good paint product as many offer here and doing it yourself. You will still need to apply it as often as they claim but get the results you want, or you can pay a detailer to do it at a fraction of that price.

Do not buy any dealer protection packages. Ever.

Your car is like your dick. Would you ever use a spray on condom?

You would be much better off spending the grand on a clear bra.

I got the protection package for the interior and exterior. One thing that I noticed about threads like this is that people focus on it being a wax job and scotch guard but forget that it's also a 7 year 100K warrenty on those treated areas.

I'd like to see what that warranty actually gives you above your factory warranty. How many people actually follow the requirements to even make a claim against it?

How do you scotch guard leather? A good leather cleaner/protector costs $30.

And for the paint doesn't it require annual applications of their product at additional cost? You would have to polish your car anyway and for a lot less money.

That warranty isn't worth that cost.
